On the road to Angkor Wat

While on our way to Angkor Wat, we're talking to Boone about the orphanage. It's a very sad situation. He has had to put some of the children with his church members which isn't bad but it's due to low funds. He hasn't been able to provide for them financially. He said it costs 14,000 baht (about $600) a month to support the ones he currently has. His desire to move them all back when he can afford it. Please pray for Boone, his wife Ginny, and the orphanage.

We made a stop on the way because Boone works as a broker on the side. So we went with him to show a property. Across the rode there was what we would call a fruit stand. There were watermelons and a few papaya and something else that looked like ginger but smaller and was orange. Pat wouldn't let me lick it to see what it tasted like, silly man. :) we also met the sweetest lady, Par Norm. She cut up a watermelon, which I really don't like but it was the sweetest I've ever eaten and Pat thoroughly enjoyed it. She also gave us a really small banana. Boone said if we got the Thai trots that this would stop it instantly, good to know. She gave us some to take with us and we tried to pay her but she shook her head no.

Those things hanging from the edge of the overhang are birds nests, very delicate.
