Eating on the beach

Boone decided to take us away from the main hubbub of Pattaya as he called it Sodom & Gommorah. It was so crowded and there tons of people, mostly Europeans, as the men were in speedos. Not your Channing Tatum type of bods either. Old men and speedos really need to be outlawed.

We drove down a bit from there and found this really quiet beach with very few people around. Boone said we would be having lunch right there. There were some mats with a small table on it right on the sand. A young boy came up with a tray with ice, coke, bottled water, and napkins. The waitress then came up to get our order. Boone ordered everything for us. Here's what we got first.

This is an "young" coconut that we drank the water from and ate the soft meat out of. So delicious ?

Here's what came next .... quail eggs that Boone bought from this sweet lady. There were about 10 in the bag and there was also fish sauce to dip them in.... Very good.

 

This below was a sweet and sour shrimp ....

This was a clear noodle dish with huge prawns in the bottom

This came last and was the best dish. Grilled prawns with a very spicy dipping sauce. I could have eaten these all day.

There was one more dish I didn't take a pic of that was great too... Shrimp covered with curry! Plus we had fried rice. The nice girl who waited on us was going to bring pillows for us to take a nap which sounded good but we had to head up to Korat. This whole meal with all the shrimp and prawns was only $35. Plus Boone and Pat got a drink he called liquid Viagra. They wouldn't let me have any!
